Wendy Robushi
The obsession of repetition lies at the root of Wendy Robushi’s work. The simplicity of the image belies the complexity and laborious nature of the process involved in creating each piece. Created using hand cut paper and acrylic paint, patterns are created with hand painted dots; finally, pieces are coated with acrylic medium to provide durability and protect the paper from the elements. Robushi received her MFA from UC, Berkeley. Her work is included in many private and permanent collections, including Stanford Medical Center, Paypal, and Convene SF. Her work is currently included in the deYoung Museum Open Exhibition 2023, San Francisco.
