John Platt
John Platt was born in New York City in 1984 and, after a childhood spent in the city’s art museums and cultural institutions, he decided to become a visual artist. He completed his undergraduate studies at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston where he focused on becoming an abstract painter. His work deals with the endless possibilities of color relationships, using different hues to tell stories and imbue the work with a sense of narrative. He splits his time between New York, where he lives and works, and East Africa where he founded the art and conservation non-profit “How to Draw a Lion”. He exhibits internationally and his work can be found in private and corporate collections all over the world.
