About Isabella Despujols
Isabella Despujols is a visual artist from Venezuela with a focus on handmade embroidery. Despujols was trained in oil painting, from which she developed a technique in which she works the embroidery as if it were paint. She embroiders layers of colors that she juxtaposes to form new colors, resulting in a chromatic degradation that is perceived in all her works. Despujols graduated with a BFA from the International University of Art and Design in Miami and holds a degree in Art History from the University of Palermo in Buenos Aires.
