Suzie Buchholz is an abstract painter with a playful yet rebellious approach to the tradition of Abstract Expressionism. Her process is driven by an instinct for harmony of color and form, with a street-wise sensibility with an uncanny, painterly tenderness. Buchholz holds a B.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute and Certificat from Atelier du Soleil, Aix en Provence, France. She is the recipient of several residencies and awards, including Djerassi, Bay Area Discovery Museum, and Zero1 Biennial. Buchholz is based in the Bay Area, CA.
