Vancouver-based Nicole Young builds mixed-media works from repurposed painted canvas, hand-dyed textiles, natural pigments, and acrylic, often sewn together on canvas. Guided by a waste-free practice, she explores the connections between the natural and man-made worlds, along with memory and nostalgia. She holds a BFA from the University of British Columbia Okanagan, and her work is in private and corporate collections worldwide.
