Based between New Jersey and Maine, Claire Cushman is an oil painter inspired by both tranquil domestic interiors and the rugged beauty of the Maine coast. Her work balances subdued abstraction with vivid moments of color and natural light, drawing viewers into spaces of solitude and introspection. Trained with a BA in English from Brown University and an MFA in Painting from the New York Academy of Art, she brings both technical depth and lyrical sensitivity to her craft.
