Lake Tahoe–based painter Chris Crossen crafts richly layered, abstract landscapes that fuse watercolor and acrylic. Inspired by wilderness and environmental transformation, he employs a meditative process of thousands of overlapping “cells,” with each wash and layer capturing the passage of time, memory, and perception. His art has found place in public and private collections both in the U.S. and abroad.
