Real and romanticized, the American West is the focus of Maura Allen’s work. She is drawn to iconic silhouettes—her signature style centers on the use of strong graphic elements to tell big stories. Allen has been photographing the West for 30+ years and showing her original mixed media work for the past two decades in galleries, museum shows and private collections nationwide. Allen is based in Prescott, AZ.
