Karen Folgner

Karen Folgner’s inspiration is drawn from the post WWII abstract expressionist painters of San Francisco, particularity the Sausalito Six. Attention is paid to color, balance, texture and form, in her representational and abstract paintings. Each piece evokes an essence of a moment, often times a bookmark in her personal life. Folgner has won accolades in juried competitions and participated in group and solo exhibitions in the United States and Mexico. Her work can be found in private collections across the country. Folgner resides in the Bay Area and Carmel-by-the-Sea.
